Going north-west from Chamba along the Siul-Nala, a
major tributary of the River Ravi, one enters Salooni and Bhandhal
Valley. Salooni is located 56 km from Chamba at an altitude of 6000
ft. It is known for breathtaking panoramic views of the snow-covered
hills and peaks. Twenty-two km from it is the Bhandal Valley. It is
a place for lovers of wildlife and a trek leads from here to Bhaderwah
in J&K. |
| Heading north, is the main town of Tissa which is the
headquarters of Churah Valley. It is connected by a motorable road
with Chamba. From here, treks through Sach pass and Cheni Pass start
and lead to Kilar in Pangi. Kilar through Sach Pass is 135 km from
Chamba. |
